S3 Modern Studies Trip to Edinburgh

On the 17th January, 36 pupils from the Modern Studies department visited two exciting locations in Edinburgh; Camera Obscura and the Scottish Parliament. The pupils enjoyed the optical illusions and mind bending exhibits on show at Camera Obscura and then made their way down Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile to the Scottish Parliament.

After a spot of light lunch pupils engaged in an interactive session with a Scottish Parliament Education officer and then "grilled" Gill Patterson, constituency MSP for Clydebank and Milngavie, on a variety of issues including jobs for young people and the upcoming Independence referendum. On the bus on the way home pupils noticed a certain Royal passing with her police escort and attempted a St Peter the Apostle royal wave.

All in all a great educational day out, check back here soon for information on more trips with the Modern Studies department .
